Rakhi Making Workshop 2022
On the event of Raksha Bandhan, Idhant celebrates this wonderful day by conducting a fun Rakhi Making session, wherein students where guided with the task of making stunning Rakhis’ to give their loved ones!
Dance Session 2022
“There are shortcuts to happiness; dancing is one of them.”
An incredibly fun dance session was held in Idhant on June 3rd, 2022, wherein our lovely volunteers and dynamite kids put on their dancing shoes and danced their hearts out! And after their fun jam session, refreshments were provided to the little dancers.
Painting Session 2022
Idhant brings a splash of color by conducting a painting session on 23rd April 2022. A fun painting session was held by Ms. Madhura and Ms. Tanvi, and refreshments were provided to the 50+ kids by Mr. Sushant. Not only that, the team in Idhant donated drawing books, scales, pencils, erasers, and other stationary items.
National Science Day 2022
Volunteers in Idhant commemorated National Science Day on February 28th, 2022 by having simple yet incredibly fun experiments along with the kids, showing them the importance of science in today’s world!
Idhant celebrates Christmas 2021
Mrudang Dance Academy joins us once again in the Christmas of 2021, and together danced their heart out with the kids (and even Santa Claus!). Additionally, we even watched a Christmas movie with Santa after having a fun time playing multiple games with him!
Children's Day 2021
Idhant celebrated Children’s Day on November 14th, 2021. To make this day extra special, we had fun art and craft activities lined up for the kids along with a longer line of sweets that was to be distributed among the little ones!
Diwali Toys and clothes donation 2021
“It’s not how much we give, but how much love we put into giving”
To celebrate the festival of lights, Idhant lights up the days of the kids by conducting a toys and clothes donation drive. This drive was conducted with the help of Robin Hood Army.
Deepavali CELEBRATIONs
AT IDHANt
On this bright and colorful day, the students at Idhant had a fun and memorable time when Mrudang Dance Academy joined in and had a wild dance session! Not only that, the kids made their own lanterns and sweets and decorated their school entrance with a variety of rangolis.
Sanitary pad donation drive
Idhant goes a step beyond teaching the young ones by reaching out to their mothers and educating them about the importance of using sanitary pads. Ms. Himani Gwalani (activities manager) who reached out to Pictoreal who collected 290+ sanitary napkins from Pune Institute of Computer Technology to distribute.
Raksha Bandhan 2021
On this lovely day of celebrating family, Idhant helped their students make stunning creative rakhis to bring home after teaching the young ones all about the importance of family and the very history behind Raksha Bandhan!
74th independence day at idhant
For the 74th Independence Day, the students at Idhant were taught all about our country’s national food, dances flowers, and animals! Not only that, a fun flag-making session was held, where each and every child went home carrying an Indian flag of their own!
Friendship day 2021 idhant
Idhant celebrated Friendship Day on July 31st, 2021, wherein the students had a lovely time after their class by participating in activities like matching games, crossword puzzles, and even dumb charades. It also involved a lot of dancing and even more colorful bands!
RAKHI MAKING WORKSHOP AT IDHAnt 2020
On the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan Idhant members organized a one-day Rakhi making workshop for the kids of the government school, Dharamveer Sambhaji Maharaj Prathmik Vidyalay, which is based in Navi Peth, Pune. The students were provided with all the art and craft material and with the guidance of the volunteers they used their creativity and made their own rakhi’s.
CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION AT IDHANt 2020
On the event of Christmas a special group of volunteers from the IPC (Indian Pentacoastal Church) PYPA had visited DSMP Vidyalay.
The session started off with students singing different Christmas carols and songs and later on danced along with the volunteers on various songs. Many fun activities and group games were played by the students. At the end of the session chocolates, cakes and special gifts were distributed among every student by the Santa!
CHILDREN'S DAY AT IDHANT 2020!
You can learn many things from children. How much patience you have, for instance. We at Idhant celebrated Children’s Day with the students of DSMP Vidyalay, Pune and it’s safe to say we had our fun as much as the kids did while being patient.
Innocence and kindness of these kids brings us back every Saturday for fun filled English sessions organised by the team and with the help of our beloved volunteers!
dsmp covid 19 - awareness session
On 8 March 2019, Idhant organized a one day workshop on sanitation and hygiene for the kids of the government school, Dharamveer Sambhaji Maharaja Prathamik Vidyalaya (DSMP) based in Navi Peth, Pune. The workshop included demonstration of the steps to be followed while washing hands along with a detailed discussion on how we can maintain health and hygiene in our day to day lives by following simple steps.
Sportsfest at Ayodhya Charitable Trust
On 14 July 2018, Idhant organized a one day sports fest at Ayodhya Charitable trust, an NGO based in Pune that works towards helping deaf and dumb children.
A sports event with multiple rounds of engaging competitions such as Relay Race and Kho-Kho was arranged at the end of which certificates of participation were awarded to each and every child to boost their morale. We also awarded certificates to class wise winners in the 50 mts race along with chocolates for everyone. The kids were felicitated by the hands of Dr. Madhubala Lodha, M.D. Gynaecologist, president of Sanjyot foundation.
