Dance Workshop and Oral Language Development 2023

The children of DSMP Vidyalaya, Navi Peth practised the alphabets by completing Oral Language Development worksheets with the help of the volunteers on 24th June, 2023. This was followed by an exhilarating dance session conducted by Avisha, in which the kids had their hearts pumping, bodies moving and faces grinning!

Father’s Day Card Making 2023

On the eve of Father’s Day, Idhant and its volunteers helped the children of DSMP Vidyalaya, Navi Peth to artistically show their love and appreciation for their fathers/father figures as they assisted them in making beautiful Father’s Day Cards! The children had a blast and expressed themselves in all kinds of ways including drawing, cutting and glueing crafty hearts and symbols, as well as a small heartfelt note about why they love their father/father figure. Happy Father’s Day!

Origami Session 2023

Origami allows you to twist, turn and fold your thoughts into reality, all with a piece of paper! Idhant organised an Origami session on 1st April, 2023 at DSMP Vidyalaya, Navi Peth, and it was a huge success! The childrens’ faces lit up as they explored their creativity and learnt new origami designs. With the help of the volunteers, they also solved Vocabulary Development worksheets to help upgrade their mental word bank.

Creating Awareness with RESQ 2023

Idhant with DSMP vidyalaya collaborated with RESQ Charitable Trust to conduct an interactive session for children to raise awareness about animal welfare and the importance of showing kindness towards animals. The session, followed by a Q&A session in which the children answered all the questions very enthusiastically, aimed to teach children about the different types of animals, their behaviour, and their needs, as well as how to identify and report cases of animal abuse or neglect. Overall, the session was a fun and engaging way for children to learn about animal welfare and to encourage them to become more compassionate towards animals.

Holi and National Science Day Celebration 2023

In commemoration of everyone's beloved upcoming Holi festival, we had a blast with the kids at DSMP Vidyalaya, Navi Peth. On 3rd March, 2023, what started with painting on the chart papers ended with faces full of joy and more colourful than the forgotten chart papers! We also had a belated National Science Day celebration, where the kids were taught topics varying from the Solar System to photosynthesis and much more, in greater depth. Wishing you all a vivid and memorable Holi!

Makar Sankranti 2023

Sankranti is all about the Sun, warmth and transitioning into positive and auspicious times. Idhant held a super interesting and essential lesson for the kids on 14th January, 2023, where they learnt all about expressing positive things about themselves, their family, friends and facilities around. We also played lively games such as passing the ball, reflexes and Action Chinese whispers. Happy Sankranti from us all!

Navratri 2022

Navratri celebrates the ultimate victory of good over evil, as Goddess Durga defeats Mahishasura. Our little warriors joined the celebrations and put together a little dance with the help of the volunteers. Happy Navratri!

Reading Session 2022

Our little dreamers traversed foreign lands whilst reading story books on 17th September, 2022. They gained some awesome new vocabulary and discovered their passion to read! Our hungry travellers also had delicious snacks, courtesy our happy volunteers, Sonam and Sahil, before capping off the session with a thrilling game of Simon says!

Ganesh Chaturthi 2022

In the spirit of the upcoming favourite festival, our Idhant Volunteers and energetic little 4-5 year olds put their creativity to use and channelled their inner artist as they drew art on the upcoming Ganesh Chaturthi. At the same time, our curious 9th-10th graders took a virtual trip around the world during their basic Geography lesson. Hopefully they make it back home in time to yell,  “Ganpati Bappa, Morya!”
